Cafe Management Job Description


You will work with senior management to grow the vision of Domestique, and will have the opportunity to manifest and implement your ideas in new location initiatives. Most importantly, you will raise and maintain the standard of quality & customer experience at Domestique, developing a team of coffee experts and impressing our clientele with your in-depth knowledge on our products and the nuances of third-wave coffee. 


Manager(s) reports to the Business Manager and oversees assistant managers and baristas.


Requirements & Core Competencies 

  • Two or more years of experience as a barista and/or working in the coffee industry, specifically supervisory/leadership roles
  • US work authorization
  • High school degree or equivalent 
  • Driver's license and reliable/consistent transportation
  • Organized and have the capabilities to lead with energy & humility
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Quality-focused and detail-oriented 
  • A “local is global” mindset
  • Entrepreneurial perspective when it comes to business
  • Excellent skills in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)
  • Punctuality is required. Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours.
  • Must be able to multitask while maintaining a calm, professional environment

Schedule 

  • 35-45 hours a week (may increase to 45 during peak seasons)
  • Day shift (no late night shifts)
  • One consistent day off, one flex day off (not the same day every week)
  • Weekend availability required 

Compensation 

  • $14.50/hour plus tips for cafe shifts
  • $18.50/hour for management shifts
